I can see where you're coming from, but personally, I couldn't care less about what demographic they were aiming for. I thought they did a great job of injecting personalities into the cars, and like every other Pixar movie, the story had a lot of heart. I'm sure boys love it, but I know for a fact that my 6-year old niece loves it too.
I don't know, I was pretty disappointed with the first spider man trilogy. I personally love spider-man and his actual back story, and the writers for this one are actually paying attention. Not only is Gwen Stacy going to be the main girl in this one, but it looks like he's going to be making his own web shooters too. After the mess that was Spider-man 3, I only have good expectations. I don't think any Spider-man movie could be as bad as three was.
Hahahaha, "The Man", and in capitals. For sure dude, those lambsons (lambs + persons) obviously have horrible taste! Why would you want to play a game that gives you full control over a virtual sword when you could just shoot virtual terrorists (for the 4th time!)? The Man is holding us down brah.
I thought it was a good point. While I don't think reviewers were bought, the reactions to your comment show that it's the fans that don't want to hear anything negative, ever.
I remember reading Eurogamer's review. Even though they gave it an eight (a great score in my book), the fans complained so much that they even had one of Naughty Dog's designers come on the site and explain why the reviewers points of contention were actually just a misunderstanding!
The game was by no means perfect, and it stands as my least favorite Uncharted. Is it a bad game? Not even a tiny bit, it just really doesn't do anything to add to the formula. The whole industry seems a bit broken nowadays; it seems like if a game is highly anticipated, reviewers will give it a high mark regardless of its flaws, and the ones that don't will be lambasted by gamers.
I agree, and unfortunately it looks like a majority of gamers reading this seem to take it as a chance to explain why Madden sucks.
To those that don't understand why you would want to play a game of strategy and stats rooted in reality instead of in a fantastical setting, its similar to reading fiction novels. Some people love reading about conflicts in different worlds or universes, and some can't stand it and would rather read something like Tom Clancy - still not real, but more so than a fantasy novel is.
Also, it's even more fun if you follow and/or played football at some point, because you understand the underlying mechanics without needing a tutorial.
