I have to admit the title of this post was deceiving. To me a red flag went off going "zomg vader on 360 confirmed". However, this is possibly not the case as there was no footage of the two fighting eachother in game. Although I'm quite sure if they were marketing savvy enough to come up with this crossover in the first place, they'll see the giant gravytrain that would come from having the other character available on the other console via microtransaction.

The flash forward wasn't useless, but I for one am glad it was cleared up that next season isn't Jack pulling a Mel Gibson in Los Angeles. The mysteries derived from this flash will probably be addressed in on-island events, which is good, and as stated by Lindelof before, without the island, there's no show.

It might be a good idea to keep in mind that in the special that was aired again right before this episode, Lindelof said that if the Losties get off the island "there's no show". Also just because the flash is forward doesnt mean it's not still a flash of sorts. There hasn't been an episode that was entirely a flashback, although Desmond's was close. Although those statements can be countered by the fact that a flashbacks and current events are given equal show time, flashbacks also center around one character. So, as the future events were in flash format by being about jack for the most part, its safe to assume that the storyline continues on the island. Plus, a lot of mythology about the others and the monster are unanswered. Considering how Desmond's interactive flashback was different and raised a lot of still unanswered questions, the time line has to stay current so multiple characters can be featured. Back to my point, without the island, there's not much of a show. Also considering Charlie didn't remember meeting Desmond before the island, it is possible that the interactive portions of Desmond's super flashback didn't happen, as well as the flash forward not happening. Or simply, jack could be musing about what will happen if they go with the rescue, or having his own form of premonition, and hopefully can prevent course correcting, as it looks like the future sucks for jack.

Well another flame war between Nintendo and Sony fan boys has started. How about both companies being bashed lately? Both have been disappointing in at least a few respects, and joystiq has acknowledged that for the most part. Please, stop saying one console is receiving less flack than the other. If you don't want to do that, keep score of delights versus annoyances of each console.
