Also, that seems pretty cheap.

Our city just built a new 70km rail line (of course we had to realign highways and build new stations) for something like AU$1.6bn dollars.

@Oxyrt you mean like www.jailbreakme.com ???

It is untethered, and released by comex. The sketchy bit is that the exploit he uses could quite easily be embedded into an ad or similar in some random page you visit - that exploit could just install a trojan onto your phone rather than Cydia

@MNeko It doesn't fill them with water. It uses electricity to break the water into hydrogen then fills the battery with the hydrogen fuel.

I presumably just blows the oxygen into the surrounding air as it's charging as it says they are "air-breathing" fuel cells, don't put it near open flames!

@NuShrike As someone who has worked on GSM and CDMA mobile phone software, yes and no.

The chip handles pretty much all of the radio stuff nowdays. However there are significant differences in the CDMA/GSM systems that require some completely different handling in layers all they way through the phone. And this isn't just limited to the API exposed by the baseband processor.

This is apparent especially in the fact that CDMA can't do simultaneous data and voice.

Another problem is that when I was working on it all the CDMA phones we worked on used a single BP/AP SoC from qualcomm which is completely different architecturally from how GSM phones (and the iPhone) are configured.
This problem may have evaporated now, but this is part of the reason why CDMA phones always had different processor specs from GSM. It is also why they used BREW for apps rather than Java.

@Azrael666 What do you mean good luck getting drivers? Everything in my work pc is as new (or newer than) the cpu. It all has 64 bit drivers.

The issue with 64bit is far far behind us.

@mrnapalm32 Really?

My work machine is a core2 quad with 8gb ram. I use every bit of the specs.
This would be impossible on XP

Why must they stick with horizontal tabs?

The world has moved to widescreen monitors and because of this vertical pixels have become much much more expensive. I will never go back after installing the treestyle tabs plugin in firefox.
I normally have upwards of 15 tabs open and that gets impossible to fit across the top of the screen.
