Jun 21st 2010 6:09AM (TUAW.com)Apple needs a 'sync only iPad apps' box, or better yet, they need a way to bracket the apps in the pick list, in much the same way they do on iTunes App screen: iPad apps, iPhone apps, iPhone+iPad apps. This would make it a lot easier to check individual apps by compatibility.
Three will carry iPhone 4 in the UK, O2 cuts off unlimited data
Jun 10th 2010 11:40AM (TUAW.com)According to the BBC O2 is also claiming it is currently spending a staggering GBP£1M per day on upgrades to its network. If this is true, then why hasn't coverage in Scotland improved at all in the last 10 years? I think I've seen that 3G icon maybe four times in the year since I bought my 3GS.
I will be going to Vodafone when my contract is up, I've had enough of this.
Pulse app cheered, then pulled, now back

Jun 8th 2010 9:36AM (TUAW.com)The Pulse devs will surely just pull the NYT from the default feeds and featured add-ins and re-submit it.
This is just moronic. A great app showcases the Times' own short-text RSS feeds and encourages readers to jump straight into the Times' website, ads and all, the paper gives a great write up of the app, and then the News Corp group throws its toys out of the pram. News flash grandad, this is how RSS works. If you feed it, they will come.
I wholeheartedly agree with the idea of people being paid for good journalism, but this is not the way to do it. Old media needs to die, and it needs to die soon.

Jun 2nd 2010 8:45AM (TUAW.com)However, I'd have thought that as part of any exclusivity agreement, Apple would still be insisting on the 'unlimited' data plan that they trumpeted when they originally partnered with AT&T.
Maybe the timing of this and Steve's 'no comment' on Verizon might indicate that the exclusivity agreement is up..?
