Microsoft defends Pac-Man CE pricing

Jun 12th 2007 4:55PM (Joystiq Xbox)
You can definately tell those who've actually played the FREE demo from those who are just bagging on the game.

I too wish the game was only $5 but those claiming that it's just Pac-Man with updated graphics are off their rockers.

C&C3 footage: nothin' but gameplay

Mar 21st 2007 3:09PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Looks awesome, if not a bit overwhelming.

I'm guessing that this gameplay is from a sort of replay mode as I didn't see a cursor commanding orders or any menu screens. I would have preffered to see real-time gameplay footage to get an idea of how fast the player needs to enter orders to command the units.

Still glad for the footage anyway. I'm still trying to figure out if I'll take the dive with the 360 version. It all looks great on paper, but I question if I've got the skills to work within all that chaos in the field. Maybe a Marketplace demo will help me decide.

Video: C&C3 Trailer

Mar 1st 2007 12:32PM (Joystiq Xbox)
You might want to not that C&C3 is shipping later this month for PC only. The developers were on 1up Yours! podcast a few weeks back and said that the console build of the game is a couple months behind the PC version. EB.com has it (360) listed for 5/8.

Can't wait! This series is the real deal.

Random GOW thing: a tattoo (it's real)

Nov 1st 2006 6:02PM (Joystiq Xbox)
1. That's a poor quality tattoo.

2. It doesn't match the real Gears logo (the tatoo skull simply looks like a generic tattoo shop stencil).

3. Even as a teen, I knew that any cool pop-culture tattoo would look tired in 20 years, no matter what the subject. I've never gotten one, but if I had as a teen, it would have been an Iron Maiden tattoo with the mascott Eddie...Thank got a had a shred of forsight back then.

4. I have a friend who's covered in tattoos and he says that each reminds him of a different time in his life when he got the tat...good or bad. AKA to each thier own.

Tears for Gears: It's a Mad World

It's funny to see, "The 80's SUCKED." comments. I guess you had to be there to appreciate the music of the time (and no, I'm not talking about being 2 years old in '83).

Does the video suck? I guess it's not the best, but you have to consider that music video is almost 25 years old and the medium was in it's infancy at the time. Either way, the band TFF certainly transends their 80's videos.

Anyway, when I think back to my teens, I was pretty arrogant too...thinking that "my generation's" music/movies/fashion was the only relevant one (outside of a few rare examples). Don't worry youngsters, you'll grow out of that myopia.
