I hope it is that I am old and that kids these days don't recall that when you bought a product you actually owned it and didn't enter into some vague pact not to use it in a manner that might be useful for you whilst not being what the original manufacturer intended, like the turntable or the guitar which should only be used to play songs in 33rpm or the key of G. I haven't played any of their games but it is refreshing to see someone holding up their hands (eventually) and admitting their mistake as opposed to accusing the gamers of playing it wrong.

His company was doing well from its association with Top Gear, the Stig was an open secret for many years and his firm garnered kudos not just for having the Stig but for being discreet about it.
