Nov 25th 2006 10:15PM (Joystiq)@9 ...regarding GoW, their color palette AND character/costume design was a poor choice for determining friend vs. foe, and I have a 60" sony sxrd screen. I can't tell you how many times I shot my cpu comrades (or coop buddies) thinking they were the enemy. of course, then there are the times when you DO want to shoot your incompetent AI comrades (like when an enemy walks right in front of them and they act like they don't see it and the enemy kills you, whereas 90% of the time when you're not around you can see/hear them kill an enemy with their chainsaw)....
@8 ...get a bigger HDTV...= )...(j/k)...
in Dead Rising, you could make out the text when it first loaded, but then it went fuzzy as the screen grew brighter (on 27" tube/sdtv at my brother's), so I wonder if it was brightness settings (either in game programming or for the tv--which I wasn't able to check at the time)...however, no problem on the 60" screen.
haven't d/l'ed the new Lost Planet demo yet (ms's servers were too busy with demand for HD movies/tv downloads), but if I get a chance I'll fill in how it looked on a larger screen.

You're confusing Konami with EA. = )
@9 yessss....Nintendo Thumbitis...back when you didn't have auto-rapid-fire.
@6 the NES version is probably superior, IMO, but to be honest since I never played the arcade version, it's hard to say...either way, without the code it's probably still a difficult game.
Nintendo's stock price since July 2004 (it's increasing)

and buying/selling stocks for ALL foreign (and domestic) is a hassle....what about your capital gains and losses? blah blah...
and actually, if you're REALLY smart, you'd be buying shares of Sony, because while they are taking a beating and their stock is declining, you can buy the shares at a discount (as opposed to Nintendo because you are paying a premium when it is at a higher markup), because eventually the shares SHOULD go up (assuming that Sony doesn't go bankrupt/out of business, of course).
best yet, just buy shares of the stock market cap indexes, because they tend to outperform individual stocks anyways over the years due to excellent diversification.
