I went to the one in Nipponbashi, it's seriously awesome. Nostalgia and amazing retro games everywhere.

I got Dragon Quest V for about 8$, and Knights of Lodis (?) for about 5$. I don't even speak Japanese, but I couldn't afford not to buy them!

Absolutely cannot believe they are bringing this over, but I won't complain!

It's not a re-release -- I believe it contains the expansion for the original game as well. C'mon, Joystiq!

Bad animations? Lacking audio? Totally mediocre and in a bad way. No thanks!

For those saying that the XL does the same thing -- the XL properly scales the DS games to fit, rather than at a resolution which isn't the native setting. Running a 1280x720 resolution image on a 1680x1050 monitor causes it to blur (as an example of DS game -> 3DS screen).

My 12 year old cousin/brother would absolutely love to have it.

I say cousin/brother because while he's technically my cousin, he lived with us for 5-6 years as we raised him. His father was doing/selling drugs, which got him put in prison for quite some time, and it was either we take him in and take care of him or he goes to a foster home FOREVER. We raised him for all those years, and his father has been out for the past year or so, getting his act together. Of course, I worked at a game store and got a Fallout 3 standup which he had in his room for a long time until it was finally too worn out for him to keep in there. This would be a perfect replacement as a cool thing for him to brag to his friends about.

Anyway, that's why!
