The game never had a 2008 launch date. If you did some simple RESEARCH like reading the original announcement you would see that they did however have a 2009 launch date.

@DaDragonsFire Check the official BiA forum... it is very clear the next game will have a snowy setting.

ALIENS: Colonial Marines was not announced in 2009...... it was announced in December 2006.

@TheDarkWayne They have never said they are making a Halo game. What they did say was that they were working on "Duke Nukem Begins". Halo 4 or what ever the next installment will be named will be made by 343 Industries.... obviously.
