No, Nintendo didn't "just say" it's sold out to null the fact that PSP sold more, you idiot. It's an undeniable FACT. It is NOT arguable or debatable.
And no, Nintendo is NOT dumb for not knowing this would happen. NO ONE thought DS would sell so well the past month. Do you think Nintendo KNEW that DS would become the next iPod in Japan? No. Trust me, if they knew it was going to sell out, they would have tried to have more ready.
And no, Nintendo has NOT had a "stranglehold" on the market for too long. The FACT is that everyone that tried to go up against them SUCKED. Nintendo ALWAYS had the upperhand in the handheld market on the only thing that matters: the games. And they still do. That's why DS is beating PSP so much there and a little bit here in the US. But PSP does have some good stuff. Sadly, there's a) not enough that is of amazing quality and, b) too many ports and unoriginal content.
But the PSP isn't dying yet because it IS good.
Just don't be an idiot and say LOL WELL NINTENDO SHOULDN'T BE #1 ANYMORE GIVE SOMEONE ELSE A CHANCE. No, #1 should be the company that has the best system. Right now, that's Nintendo.
