I don't understand either, I gather there was some problems about shops releasing the retail version days in advance in a cheap attempt to get more bucks and this causing problems, but still, that was supposedly solved with the first batch of patches. Multiplayer only after two weeks and still several bugs to solve, not to mention performance issues? Either it was rushed from the beginning or got no playtest at all.
It doesn't mean it's never going to be good. Vampire the masquerade: Bloodlines was broken to hell and back when it came out, but now it's awesome... After *SEVEN* versions of unofficial patches ON TOP of official ones, and don't get me started on Temple of Elemental Evil.
I might be interested in this game, but a year from now, when it'll be completely different from what it is now, assuming interest survives. Fortunately I'm immune to the "must have every game on day 0" fever, being always late to the party isn't bad when it gives you fixed games.
