@singleandlovinit I think that's meant to be like the Kindle Fire interface. They did the same with their android apps. It just happens to have a lot in common with Metro.
The overall Amazon VOD service is a good alternative to iTunes. It has basically the same selection of current TV shows and movies and as far as I've seen the same prices ($2-3 per tv ep, $3-4 to rent movies) and is available on more devices.
But the Prime subscription only gives you access to a small selection. There's a fraction of what Netflix has and very little that Netflix doesn't have. If you're already a Prime member for the free shipping or kindle book lending it's a nice bonus to go with those. But I wouldn't consider it a replacement for Netflix yet.
I just watched all of the DMC anime on Netflix since it's getting removed Sunday. It was okay. Especially any time Lady or Trish were around. I wonder if the new Dante will inspire as much multimedia fandom as the original.
I definitely agree that Angry Birds is way overrated and overexposed but I don't get all the butthurt hateration going on. Don't like it then ignore it. I'm too busy being impressed that a tiny development team managed to make such a simple game into a huge and insanely profitable maga-brand to get a hate-on about it. Wish I could get in on some of that action.
As for Space. I like that they've actually changed it up this time instead of just being some different visuals. Looks like a fun time-waster puzzle game. Well worth the price of 99 cents or free.
I played EQOA for a while years ago. In fact, it's still the only MMO I've really put any time into. I'm shocked it's still been going all this time though. I know it had some loyal diehard players that would've kept logging in for years to come but I'm sure it's been a long time since it had a large enough user base to be financially viable. I'm still impressed that they were able to get an MMO on PS2 and only required a few MBs of your memory card.
