Don't worry, plenty of dismembered body parts and violence, and the controls are pretty smooth. They had a demo of it at comic-con and it is freakin' awesome.

Got to try it out at Comic-Con this past week. The game is just as awesome as it promises to be.

I really enjoyed the demo and had a similar experience to kdubb. At first, I was really confused by the fighting system and I didn't feel as though I was really killing a bunch of enemies like I did in a game like Fable. However, after I leanerd the system, I was weaving my was through enemies, sending energy blasts into crowds and grabbing all kinds of loot.
The story seems really cool, I didn't really have any problem with it. You're a God, protect Mankind, kill maniacal robots, all of it works for me. Also, the demo may or may not be how the final game will look. You don't know when they began testing the demo or when they finished it (in relation to when they or if they are finished with the actual game). Doesn't matter how long the game's been in development in my opinion, so much happens during a project in 6 months, I can't imagine what would happen on a ten-year long one. Definitely check out the demo for yourself.
Also, for anyone who doesn't know, pre-ordering the game at Gamestop gets you Bonus armor. whether or not it will be worth it is unknown, but just a little informative tidbit.

This game looks like it will offer a new way to play, different from every other first person shooter for sure. Looks remarkably fluid for such an early build too. Can't wait.

I am pretty sure that picture was a design for a t-shirt on threadless.com. They had a promotion for Bioshock a few months ago and that design was one of them.

I agree with invader phlegm. If 2K delivers where they said they would (and the video seems to back it up a bit)then I will definitely pick it up. I have been a big fan of madden for a long time, but 2K has been dishing out some really good sports titles (Nba 2k has stolen my heart). And the video quality downplays the graphics a lot. Look at the screens on ign and tell me that jerry rice doesn't look like jerry rice. The graphics are good and I think the gameplay will deliver as well.

definitely took a bit of getting used to with the camera, but after that I was really impressed. The graphics were pretty good, and the minions are hilarious. I will probably pick it up this month, if I can stop playing the darkness when it comes out.
