The other M is for 'MacBook' in this Samus laptop mod
Jan 25th 2011 11:27AM (Joystiq)How is multitasking on Mac OS any different than multitasking on Windows? It's the same thing - you can open plenty of different windows and applications all at once and easily switch between them with a click or button press.
There are multiple spaces available, you can minimize, maximize, etc. just the same.
Instead of a start bar there is a dock - which performs a very similar functionality.
Not to mention Exposé, for when you have many windows to work with.
Don't post irrelevant slander without having a clue what you are talking about.
Also the "poor multitasking" you're complaining about is more likely to be a reference to iOS, which is not on the Macbook.
I'm not putting down Windows, just informing you that you are sadly misinformed.

Nov 2nd 2009 10:33PM (TUAW.com)Windows 7 can now Read/Write/Execute from a HFS+ formatted disc.
This is nice in some ways, because iTunes on each partition can now have access to the same music seamlessly, however now I worry that if the protection on my Windows side should ever slip (viruses and malware, oh my!) it could find a way into my Mac OS filesystem.
Any recommendations on how to lock out 7 from writing to my HFS+ partition(s) so they remain safe?
An illustrated guide to Boot Camp and Windows 7
Nov 2nd 2009 10:22PM (TUAW.com)it's done the same as always: [Right Click] > [Get Info] on your HDD, then copy and paste an icon or PNG image into it's icon, and viola! If you change your mind you can click on the icon in the [Get Info] screen and click [delete].
But, there's a somewhat annoying catch, you cannot change the icon for your Windows partition in the bootloader. It's always the default.
Even if you change the way the icon will appear in Mac OS X (there are ways to do this, there are guides, google it :-) ) it'll be the default in the bootloader.

Feb 20th 2009 8:59AM (Joystiq)McElroy pulls out a keyboard and begins typing furiously, each letter zipping across the screen and striking his opponent with incredible force.
The letters will spell out tiny, witty remarks which both burn both the opponent's body and ego.

The choice of punch button (light/mid/strong) would affect the length of the statement (though longer words would leave him open if someone dodged).
