@DJMaxxi I'm sure they made other tweaks to balance that. Besides, the TM thing will be very convenient for people who like building teams for competitive play and such.

@Comet 20 to be fair though, most of the interest lies in what you can do after you beat the story mode. Of course a fresh campaign would be awesome, but it's good enough that they polished so many gameplay aspects.

I also think a good portion of all that nostalgia from Kanto and Johto lies in the fact that most of us played those as little kids.. it's easier to have fond memories when you're easily impressed, lol. But yes, the adventures have been getting repetitive regardless.

Whenever a new Pokemon game launches, I'm always driven away by the horrific character designs. I give in every single time and somehow they end up growing on me though.

As a girl gamer I'm actually happy they realized their female character designs would be too much work/not good enough and just didn't go ahead with it. I laughed in a sad way when I saw that interview with Tanya Jessen where she talks about how they tried to create a 'strong female character, who looked independent and free of stereotypes etc' only to end up with the epitome of a videogame hot chick (at least on the outside).
I don't mind 'Dude Island' at all, in fact Gears of War 2 is my favorite game, so to me their decision was way better than having them waste their time trying to create strong female characters only to end up with annoyingly stereotypical hot chicks.
