Weekly Webcomic Wrapup is sealing it off

Dec 5th 2010 2:16AM (Joystiq)
This may sound weird, but is it just me, or are gaming webcomics generally noticeably better now than they were a year or two ago...? I remember the days when a ton of jokes involved (beloved gaming icon + blood and/or swearing = funny?). Glad to see comic artists going for something a little less tasteless nowadays.

@JonnyWags
It does surprise me how abrasive people can get over webcomics, of all things. I'm all for critiquing works of entertainment, but there's hardly any of that going on (unless you count one-liner potshots as constructive criticism).

Pretty good group this week. I find it a little strange how negative people can be on a lot of webcomics. I guess I can understand it if the author is kind of a jerk or whatever (Buckley), but none of the comics showcased here have any sort of sordid history as far as I know. I'm not saying you have to like them, but to actually have these little strips get you riled up and perturbed is pretty bizarre.

This looks quite adorable, yet strangely artistic. Can't wait!

I know Pokemon's still popular, but I'm surprised we're still seeing strange peripherals like this. Reminds me of the early 2000s with the Pikachu N64.
