Crazy colored Avatar hair discovered!

Nov 23rd 2008 3:10PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Your face was more realistic with a Wii because you can adjust the position, size, and spacing of the various facial items.

With the avatars, you use the default only.

I'm of the opinion that my Wii looks a lot more like me than my avatar. Partly due to the lame hair choices (short hair here, parted on one side, no bald spot at all) and partly due to the lack of facial feature functionality.

Aperture to include plugin support?

Yeah, but they're likely not going to be non-destructive and will only work on a copy of the image.

It didn't say he was 34 (nor did it say he was a 34-year veteran). Not the best grammar: the word "veteran" was excluded, as was "old" (as in 34 year-old or 34-year veteran), leaving us to assume that it's more likely he's a 34-year veteran than a 34 year-old retiree.

TypeIt4Me is also susceptible to this bug.

Scorecard

I've never cared for a Palm or Treo or something on the golf course. Scorecard stats take up two to three boxes of a scorecard and use arrows and/or a few simple numbers. Then you enter your round in 30 seconds when you get home.

If we're able to put it on the iPhone eventually, we'll do it.

A Windows version is in the works, too, and then work will begin on the next version(s).

DirecTV to carry 100 National HD Channels in 2007

Jan 9th 2007 9:26AM (Engadget)
DirecTV is launching two more satellites this year largely to handle the increase in HD channels. They're also converting all LA/NY locals (and all current HD channels) to MPEG-4 over MPEG-2.

"It certainly doesn't help him at all, that is site logo is a rip off of flickr."

It's a play - a sarcastic bit of parody - on the "Web 2.0" logos. He likely used the "Web 2.0 Logo Generator" http://digg.com/design/Web_2_0_Logo_Creator

FairPlay for sale, and not by Apple

Oct 2nd 2006 3:01PM (TUAW.com)
Michael, that's not necessarily true. I didn't have to re-download content after REAL hacked their way into FairPlay. Granted, DVD Jon has taken a different, better approach (REAL's was pretty simplistic), which likely would force downloads if Apple wanted to change things up, but that's not what happened before.

Viral .Mac feedback - copy and paste this, let's make Apple listen

Sep 10th 2006 6:44PM (TUAW.com)
Top an extensive list of snowballing frustration and complaints from a decreasing community of .Mac users big and small.

I'm 5'10" and 180 lbs. Does that make me a "big" or a "small" .Mac user? What about us average-sized .Mac users? :-P
