Thank you, Joystiq, for ruining any credibility you ever had. Please, take Vlads posting privilages away. By posting these articles in the way he has, with the wording he's using, he has shown that Joystiq cannot be the unbised gaming blog it hoped to be.
Upon looking at all of the Wii reviews on Gamespot, It seems that every single one is lower than what every other reviewer has said. Every game. I'd call that a console bias. You can call it "good journalism" if you want, but we all reallly know what's going on here: Sony helps pay the bills more than NIntendo. Any respect I had for Gamespot has flown out the window and been hit by a semi-truck going at high speeds.
V1L3, I'd really like to know what kind of tea you're drinking if "Conclusion? Drinking tea = more fun than playing Nintendo." Seriously. is it the sweat of Chuck Norris?
And what you're not taking into account is how the brick and mortar retailer has to make money off of selling an item. $20 on the Wii. $25 from the store. it's the same thing with World of Warcraft subscription cards.
What most of you fail to realize, is no "official" PS1 list has come out. you don't know what games you'll be able to download, or if some publishers pull their games from the service altogether.
What none of you are taking into account, is that if it takes this long to load a menu, what about actual gametime? A menu is nothing, that's like taking a full minute to open a book to the table of contents. All this does is show that load times are going to be an issue for this console. Take Resident Evil for example. if it takes 1 minute+ to load every time you go through a door, that kills the atmosphere of the game.
"25. I think this is going to be temporary. As time goes on Sony should put a faster Blu-ray drive in the PS3 and not needing to install games any more."
You do realize that the first gen PS3's will still have this problem, even if Sony puts faster drives in later models, right? That's just an FU to early adopters.

Quit being a product of Sony's marketing machine. if you don't like the Wii, that's fine. you can go play your Historical giant crab killing simulators on the PS3.
