Strategic Embracement

Yes, Mega Man series > Mega Man X series, but it's difficult to put into words how unbelievably amazing the original Mega Man X is. It's bested only by Mega Man II, IMO.

@mywhitenoise Oh, alright then. I guess Prince of Persia 2008 would have been a better example. At least it fits the same gameplay mould and isn't, you know, a turn based jrpg.

They did need better writers, but honestly, a reboot was their best option whether you love or hate the actual outcome. People didn't care about that Bond anymore after three mediocre to downright awful films. It would be different if it was only one bad film after GoldenEye, but it was three in a row ... they needed to do something drastic. They don't need to do anything drastic here. DMC4 wasn't the greatest, especially compared to 3, but it was still good enough that I'd have faith in them making DMC5 with lessons learned.
