between this and gunstringer it looks as if the developers are finally understanding how to use the kinect. the next year should be interesting.

i think you both are little wrong with calling it tired. it may not be revolutionary but i don't think it's tired. this is only the second gears with horde. with epic ramping up the difficulty with bosses i'm guessing they needed a way to balance the changes. look at the picture there are two berserker in the screen.

i'm not sure i'm going to call it lazy without playing it. it may work perfectly. and you don't have to put your money in the community chest. that's just for if need a mech with a brumak coming and no one has quite enough money. i agree that buying yourself back from the dead is a little concerning, but we'll see in a few months. epic has been willing to fix mistakes. maybe they'll add an old school mode.

with the first one broken up into episodes i'm thinking maybe they're going to treat like an actual tv series. release an episode around once a month until the season is over. and if sucessful the series continues if not it get canceled.

i know most people kill too human because it didn't live up to what denis dyack said it would be but, i loved it. the combat system using the analog sticks was great. and with the loot drop, rpg elements, it played different and still does from most games out there. a sequel would be nice, considering it was designed to be a trilogy.

@Freak mojo. a game that gets overlooked because it, for some, didn't live up to the hype is Too Human. it has some flaws, but it is a very good game. other than that pretty much what everyone else has listed are a good place to start. monday night combat, toy soilders, limbo are all unique games worth the price.

i bet they attach the beta to bulletstorm. much like halo 3 did with crackdown. it would give bulletstorm a better chance at being a success. either way i'll be getting both.
