@TwEE I've always pictured the StarTropics reboot as being like the 3D Zelda games. Seeing that the original games borrowed heavily from Zelda already. Seems the natural evolution in my opinion.
You're absolutely right. It's just that, for the most part, the context sensitive music cues of today's scored games are a lot more jarring than in the past. Shadow of the Colossus is a great example of that. It has one of my all time favourite game scores, but the 'interactive' element isn't seamless.
And how awesome would a Super Mario generations game be! Mario Bros, through Mario Bros. 3 and Mario 64 stages in 2D and 3D would be ... awesome, like I said.
Even as someone who never really cared for either of the two Adventure games, I think I need this. They look almost as fun as the sidescrolling stages.
