And yes, I understand this is not US IP, but to think China is getting annoyed that WE'RE annoyed? C'mon, can you imagine someone taking a multi-page product placement in Crutchfeild, Sky Mall, or Sharper Image selling a fake iPod and not fear any repercussions?? Well, ok, I can see Sharper Image doing it... lol

Jul 22nd 2007 7:34PM (Joystiq Playstation)Wii Warm Up: Wii = Wii Sports
Jun 30th 2007 11:12PM (Joystiq Nintendo)If Wii is to really last, and by last I mean by the time developers figure out how to really program for the PS3 cell processor... ok, not really THAT long... :). ANYWAY Nintendo does need more Wii Sports-like games! It’s got to mimic the real world (where most other people live - smucks) and recreate that experience.
THAT is why people, that would never buy a game system, are buying the Wii. It’s also why the media, that almost never writes about video games (unless it was somehow linked to someone’s death), continues to write about Wii Sports in EVERY article.
I’m not saying it’s right, but it is, what it is… and hopefully Nintedo is paying attention and recognizes there are going to be a lot of Wii owners waiting for Wii Sports 2, Wii Bar Sports, Board Games, Wii drinking games (Nintendo Licensed, yeah right lol), Wii foosball, Brunswick Bowling, a DECENT golf game… etc. Because at my next party, I am NOT pulling out WarioWare or MarioParty 8 and getting anyone over 21 to play them.
Xbox 360's failure rate at 30%?
Jun 22nd 2007 12:41PM (Joystiq Xbox)Two other friends joined us 6 months after launch, both of theirs died, both go new ones, with no problems.
Is it problem? It seems so. Is MS doing what they should to deal with it? From our perspectives, yes.
None of the three of us had any complaints other than not having our machines for a week. MS paid shipping both ways, quick turn around and I even got an extra HD out of the deal!
But in my small 360 group, that’s a 75% failure rate, so 30% overall is not hard to believe.
But it does need fresh air and open space. If you are going through them like underwear, you may be doing something wrong yourself.
Steve Jobs live from D 2007
May 31st 2007 6:56AM (Engadget)I also enjoyed how he asked Steve the same basic question three different ways and Steve is just looking at him like, 'are you even listening to my answers you crusty old man..' LMAO
Keys to Xbox 360 world domination
May 15th 2007 12:12PM (Joystiq Xbox)1) Every Xbox 360 should have had a HD (you know... like the original Xbox did?).
2) 360s should have been completely backwards compatible with Xbox.
3) Xbox Live should have a free basic membership.
4) The Elite should have had HD DVD and Built-in Wireless and a migration scheme that doesn't require me to be on Live to access my XBLA titles purchased on my existing 360 (see #3)
5) MS, stop $crewing us on accessories prices and quit selling the worlds WORST headsets!!

May 11th 2007 6:38PM (Engadget)Halo 3 brings the true 1080p pain?
Apr 24th 2007 1:36PM (Joystiq Xbox)And if I can say a word about the Elite... no built in Wireless? No HD DVD? C'mon MS.
Back to the subject though 720p looks great. 1080p would rock, but not at the expense of the experience. Besides, I still have to buy something that can display that resolution.
More Xbox 360 Elite media trickles in
Mar 28th 2007 11:04AM (Joystiq Xbox)MS acts like having THREE different systems is an advantage, I would say it’s not. Get the core, no wait, if you buy wireless controller, hard drive, and remote separately $$ just get the Premium! No wait, if you buy the 120GB, and HDMI cable separately, just get the Elite! No wait, for 20 more you can get a 20GB PS3 with Blu-Ray! No wait, for a hundred dollars more you can get a PS3 with wireless , 60GB HD, and media card reader which separately would cost you… oh just shoot me now.
And whatever happened to the 65nm chipset that would produce smaller hardware that runs cooler and quieter? Oh right, that will be in the “Premium Super Elite” package with preloaded Halo3, Wireless, and HD drive. Oh well, back to playing Excite Truck on my Wii! :)
