Has this been delayed yet? I read this article and it says nothing about a delay but nothing is coming out on time this year so i just thought something might be wrong.
So 2/3 of this guy's work was never seen outside of an office filled with people who have signed NDA's and can't say if the cancelled projects were any good? With a 33% success rate, makes sense that this guy ain't working.
Bad idea, Jaffe. If patching were limited on the consoles, then development time would have to increase which would mean an increase in development costs which would lead to either an increase in game prices or a decrease in the amount of games put out each year.
Wow, the people they find for these things are morons. Let's start with "Laura Pearson". To paraphrase her, she would be appalled if her 13 year old was playing this with boys. If Laura's kid does end up at a boy's house playing this game, it means one of 2 things; she is at the boy's house and there are no parents home, which means Laura has bigger problems than her kid playing a sexy video game with boys or the boys she is playing it with have parents that don't care what games their kids play, in which case Laura has bigger problems than her kid playing a sexy video game. Now for "George Hardy". This man feels "we have problems in society with unsafe sex and under-age sex" because of games like this. First, there are not any games like this on the console. There are games like this on PC but it is a small market and the games usually have to purchased online which makes it hard for kids to do unless their parents let them use the credit card online without supervision. George, my misguided friend, we have problems with unsafe sex and underage sex because sexual education sucks. We have these groups saying teach abstinence and morals and the bible, not sexual education. Sexual Education should start in first grade and continue through to senior year of high school. We need to start teaching our kids what sex is, what the dangers and the good things are about sex. Teaching kids that sex is bad and to not to do it just encourages kids to have sex. And since they don't know about the bad things that can happen because all they know is to abstain, they don't realize that they can get pregnant or get an STD. Keith Vaz is my favorite though. He is kind of right. The 12+ rating does seem a little low considering the INTENT of the software. However, the rating is based on the content of the software not the intent. If there really is no nudity and all the adult stuff is implied or innuendo, than the 12+ rating is probably accurate. Considering how the content of PG13 movies have changed over the last few years, it would surprise me to see something similar occurring with video game ratings. His argument falls apart though when he says " Wii must ensure that there are proper checks and a full consultation before games are graded for use by children..." Keith, people just can't publish games willy-nilly for any console. If this game is being released as officially licensed software, Nintendo has seen it and is okay with it. Also, it is not Nintendo responsibility to police the software they allowed to be released on their console, you have a government board already rating your movies and games. . You don't want kids playing this game than DON"T BUY IT FOR THEM!!!
Action MMO's are gonna be the next big thing in MMO's. Games like Vindictus and APB are gonna become more and more prevelant in the MMO market. This is great, soon there are gonna be more MMO's that rely on the actual skill of the player instead of the gear they have. I hate this whole better gear, better player mentality that WoW has created. Just because you have a flashier weapon or a shinier suit of armor, doesn't mean you have more skill than another player, it just means you have that piece of gear.
