Pre-order Battlefield 3 on Origin, get Dead Space 2 for free

Sep 16th 2011 7:44PM (Joystiq)
Limited copies? Really, EA?

They really don't seem to get digital distribution yet... they'll never beat Steam with regionally locked sales and limited preorder games. What a farce.

Bioware hints at the future of Dragon Age DLC and 3

Aug 31st 2011 4:36PM (Joystiq)
Wow, Bioware really don't care about satisfying conclusions at all. Is that really where they'll leave the Warden - he just disappeared, never to return? Why even have Leliana mention that she's seeking him in DA II if they're not going to continue his story? With all those craptastic cliffhangers, I really thought they had something planned for the Warden yet. If they don't plan to continue his story, they should have given him a FAR better sendoff. Hawke's ending is similiarly annoying, but at least he will likely return.

36 Origin PC games on the cheap until Sunday

Oh come on, EA... sale not valid in Germany? Seriously, how do they think they'll EVER be able to compete with Steam at this rate? This is just basic marketing 101.

EA celebrates Independence Day with a massive sale

Jul 1st 2011 2:28PM (Joystiq)
And of course, this sale is not in effect over here in Germany. Meanwhile, the Steam sale is bigger AND for everyone. I don't even have words for that. It's like they don't even WANT to compete with Steam.

@zero2dash That already happened on the official forums. Lots of people who participated in GLaDOS@home got the ending spoiled by the Xbox pirates...

DmC: Devil May Cry to utilize Unreal Engine

Sep 30th 2010 3:00PM (Joystiq)
To everyone saying that many great-looking games have been made with this engine: That is true, but it's not the point. The point is that Enslaved, Ninja Theory's latest UE3 game runs at a framerate of roughly 25 FPS. Devil May Cry has so far been a series known for frantic, fast-paced combat that needs to run SMOOTHLY at 60 FPS. And it doesn't look like Ninja Theory can deliver that with UE3, while Capcom's own engine has proven that it can. That is why many fans are disappointed and angry that it will not be used.
