Activision is abandoning the franchise and not investing in marketing at all. The game dev budget for this title was also next to nothing (and it shows).

@jsx92 I thought there was DLC Quickplay in RB2. Why wouldnt it be in RB3.

Rock Band now has roughly 5x the amount of music available vs. GH.

The best thing about GH6 sucking so bad is that, given this is a clear sign of capitulation in the category by Activision, it means we can all stop arguing about which is better and all start enjoying the same game - Rock Band - when Activision discontinues the series after this final gasp.

If you recall from D.I.C.E. earlier this year, Bobby Kotick basically admitted that he screwed the pooch by acquiring Guitar Hero without also getting the innovators behind it - Harmonix. Neversoft is burnt out because they were never really well suited to make these games, and so they are moving on to other things. Meanwhile, Harmonix keeps cranking out new, innovative stuff with Rock Band. My feeling is that Activision, with yet another subpar GH title, has effectively raised the white flag in the genre.

Bohemian Rhapsody....you forgot 3-part harmonies!!!!

I can't believe WoR even bothered putting that song in. Its mere presence is like an advertsiement for why you should be getting RB3 instead.

Its like "Hey, here is an amazing classic song with a killer keyboard part and amazing 3-part harmonies...too bad you can't do any of them here...."

Saving my money for Oct. 26th.
