EA is The Consumerist's 'Worst Company in America,' wins Golden Poo

Apr 4th 2012 5:08PM (Joystiq)
EA probably won the award because some of their misdeeds are still fresh on the minds of people. I could think of a few companies on the list who deserve the poo much more than EA, even with their rather consumer abusive practices.

Oh, The Places You'll Go: Mass Effect's Citadel

@Master Troll

Ever play ME2? It's already been described that the citadel has slum's and "ghetto's" usually consisting of certain races.

BioShock Infinite's 'Siren' warns of reborn enemies

Nope, alternate history. Still behind us in most ways, but advanced in others.

Ancient humans had mechanical computers, advanced chemicals and engineering, but they were still not futuristic.

Assassin's Creed 3: Rebuilding a series during the birth of a nation

This all sounds great, but personally I am most interested in finding out how they plan to move forward with the Assassin guild.

It's been my favorite part of the last two games, recruiting and training assassins and getting attached to them. However I always felt they were a little overpowered, and a little to easy to keep them safe.

If they could expand the personal story aspect revelations brings, while somehow making the actual training and buildup of those assassins more engaging I think it would be the best installment yet!

Mass Effect 3 player feedback spawns 'content initiatives,' details in April

Hey man, ME3 might have had a terrible ending but I don't think there are many people who would say the GAME itself was bad. Up until the ending (and the silly GAW thing) the game was fine.

What Would Molydeux? game jam expands; list of what would Molymake

Mar 20th 2012 11:51PM (Joystiq)
@ArtemisGone

You don't know much about Peter MOLYNEUX (the guy being talked about in the blog is someone completely different) then. Without Peter an entire genre of videogames (the god games) wouldn't exist, and a long line of great titles would also have never been made. In fact, I think it would be a good time to remind people just how much the industry owes to Peter.

A list of some of his accomplishments...

Populous. (which spawned the god gaming genre.)
Syndicate
Magic Carpet
Theme Park
Genewars ( a nifty little game where you use hyrbid creatures)
Dungeon Keeper
Black and White
The Movies

Peter is a very creative person, and although he couldn't distill them that well enough in his fable titles, he deserves more than he gets.

Personally I am hoping now that he is working with a smaller studio his creativity will shine without him overextending himself.

BioWare done with Dragon Age 2, fully moving on to next phase

@TehPeanut

Each sequel? You have one sequel most people were dissapointed with (yet it improved so much in certain areas despite the horrible negatives it came with) and ONE ending at the end of ME3 (which is a great game for the rest of the time.)

Look I am worried about bioware too, and hell my faith is pretty shaken after the end of ME3 (well more specifically bioware's reaction to it.) But seriously, the problems are being blown way out of proportion.

Can't anyone clearly acknowledged the good AND the bad anymore? Why does it have to be extremes?

BioWare done with Dragon Age 2, fully moving on to next phase

@Hunter141072

Complete failure? The game had some very negative points, no doubt about that, but I enjoyed the game.

I don't get why people cry so much doomsday about one game. Hell, I bet if it wasn't a bioware game people would be much more receptive of it.

Mass Effect 3 multiplayer strategy videos to help you destroy everyone

@Darklink2009

You forgot to mention just how satisfying it is to send the first unfortunate enemy to cross you path flying across the battlefield with a single strike.

Also headbutts.

Endless Space is new 4X strategy game from ex-Ubi, EA devs

Mar 12th 2012 6:30PM (Joystiq)
@Ovy

It's that line of thinking that leads to stagnation in the game industry, and with how few 4x space games there are (even with the slow increase) i'll take any little improvement I can get.
