I am anxious to see the beta just to see how much the graphics have been increased. The Cataclysm improvements were harder on my pc than I thought they would be. I still get mostly smooth play, but I am worried more increases will flatline my pc. I really don't have the money to upgrade yet again and I would hate to think MoP would force me to quit the game :(
Pandaren are such a joke. I mean a race of bipedal bears with a Chinese theme behind them? That is almost as stupid as having a race of bipedal cows with a Native American twist...Oh wait. Nvm.
In all seriousness though, I don't mind the Pandaren coming into the game. Just not as a playable race. The little lore behind them suggests a loyalty to their race alone. If they do come in the next Xpac, Blizzard will need to update their look from those vanity pet models, maybe along the lines of the Northrend Furbolg.
Secondly, going to Pandaria could work. Maybe the Old God who has been pulling the strings of Deathwing and the Naga decides to finally poke his tenticles out from his location around the forgotten Isles. Of course, Pandaria would be right in the middle of it all.
Everything in this article is about right, except for the bit on still waiting for the bulk of the graphic updates. Blizzard has already stated that the new graphics of Cataclysm will "correspond to 4.0.1" meaning that they have already been changed and implemented. Basically, the way the game looks and performs post 4.0.1 is the way it will look and perform come December 7th.
Give it up already. There isn't going to be a Warcraft 4. The story of Azeroth will continue to unfold in the MMO, which is the where warcraft will end.
There have been plenty of epic moments in my WoW lifetime. The first time I saw Eversong Woods. The train ride down to the Spark of Imagination in Ulduar. The moment Kil' Jaeden popped out of the Sunwell.
The one I hold most dear to my heart however was when I got my Xorothian dreadsteed with my warlock. Up until that point, the game became kind of pedestrian and predictable. But the moment I hit level 60, that all changed. Not only did I truly learn the value of gold, but how to survive a long and arduous quest grind. All the hassle of gathering those mats, combined with going damn near broke, paid off big time when I got to the final summoning ritual in Dire Maul. It was chaotic, insane, but a thrill a minute. The 4 lucky souls I had roped into helping me squealed with glee as wave upon wave of imp and demon alike came pouring out to attempt to stop my mission for my epic mount. Finally, after the hellfire and dust settled, my would be mount appeared before me, and was not going to let me ride him without a fight. Though suffering one casuality adn with me clinging on to little health, the beast was tamed and was all mine. I had never been so satisfied with the game then I was at that moment.
Sadly, quest chains like that one have been removed from the game. Thanks in large part to QQ'ing 12 year olds who whine that game is too hard. It's a damn shame, because an epic mount should be earned. I will play happily from now on knowing that dreadsteed she is riding now did not come cheap, much like all the others.
Tried to hearthstone back to Dalaran from the Skybreaker. Load screen, come back dead on the ground in Icecrown. Crap. Release, load screen. Standing with the spirit healer....in Westfall. I know warlocks are magical, but that was ridiculous.
