Ahh, but DOTA isn't associated with Activision or Blizzard. It is associated with the mod that was created using the WoW platform. Blizzard had nothing to do with the creation of the mod itself. And one of the original DOTA modders are working with Valve to create DOTA2, so how is that not fair. Activision/Blizzard dropped the ball in the first place by not sponsoring this product and now that they stand to lose out on it, they are crying like babies.

oh, this goes way beyond a common sense thing, trust me. it is an industry standard and practice to not specify which field is wrong simply for this reason. shame on you MicroSoft. for someone who tries to create those standards, you sure don't follow them very well.

why wouldn't you look everytime, especially when money is involved? everytime i make a purchase/download, either through the browser or the dashboard, i check to see what i'm being charged. same goes for if i'm at the store. i can't tell you how many times i've been overcharged at the store for something and caught it.

in all fairness, politicians are generally the ones who over complicate things when they shouldn't be (i.e., tax laws). they run this country with a "what's in it for me" attitude and not how does it best serve the country.

what part of CryEngine 3 don't you understand? sure it can make some pretty good pre-rendered cutscenes, but this also adds AI, scripting, etc, etc, etc, all in real time. besides the only difference between a "game" and a "simulation" is one "simulates" real life and the other doesn't. i'll let you figure out which for yourself.

looking at that list from two years ago, it looks like Microsoft is even willing to break their own rules.
