I can see both systems, but mostly on Massively and not as much here. However, since I haven't set up a social account, I can't comment with the new system.
No, it the new comment system is still live, but a few of us can still log into the old commenting system; both are active at once, especially on the Joystiq site.
I can log into the old one, still deciding about the new one, but I can see the new one and its comments in a separate window.
I know, I know. They aren't angels (although they certainly get the law on their side; they can change the writing/conditions on "iron-clad" contracts at a whim but not us "mere mortals". The system is unfair.
It's just my personal morality going up against this. Of course any non-existent court of my soul can say if I lied once, I can do it again (and yes, they are unfair in that black-white assessment).
We'll see...

Meh, give the ugly sliders to all! I like and appreciate diversity.
@PaulHeuts (from another parallel world with a different commenting system)
You are wrong there. ;P Here I am, reading the new comment system and still logged into the old system, replying to your comment from your new system. Isn't double-window interdimensional travel and commenting systems wonderful?
Of course, Massively has a start/stop limit: The article on TERA is the last article I can call up the old comments with. Joystiq seems a bit worse in that I can even call up their new articles and still comment using the old system!
Nope, the game takes your Facebook/Gmail/Yahoo/whatever name and uses that with the old system. Now, there might be a way to use your old account if you never log out or have an auto-log-in or figure a way to sign on through the back door, but that's it.
So far, two communities with two different comment systems.
Unfortunately, yes. You have to link it to Facebook or Twitter, but it seems you can link it to google (gmail), AOL accounts, Yahoo, and even "RealID" that seems to link accounts already.
You probably can make a spoof email and/or Facebook account, but I have enough of those and I just feel guilty about it, but corporations don't seemm to feel guilty using our info. ;p
There is a "Disagree" option on the flag! Unfortunately, it's among stronger options, like reporting spam, reporting posts, labeling offensive posts, and labeling off-topic posts.

A bit too many options...

Apr 4th 2012 11:40PM (Massively)Okay, no "Down Vote", but there is a "Disagree" option if you click the flag on posts. But there is "spam", "report" , "offensive" and "off topic".
Still not liking that they put "Disagree" with those *stronger* options. And what about false clicks?
