Ninja Gaiden 3's 'Hero Mode' allows more players to experience the story

You sir, are full o fit--you don't actually know if that "development time" could have been put towards something that would have made you more happy with the game. Development is more complex than organizing a spreadsheet of tasks.

I consider you the worst kind of *person*, as you are entirely self-serving and can't understand both the market for games and other peoples' situations. In short, get off your high horse; you have no right to judge people.

On top of all of that, you're incorrect, but it's not worth it to explain why.

It's reasonable that you missed it, since the great PSN outage of 2011 occurred practically on the same day as Portal 2's release.

Unfortunately, the explosion cracked the earth asunder, leaving a ragged canyon from which these faces crawled. Even now the scale the walls, invade our neighborhoods, and wait for nightfall when their prey sleeps in the false-security of their homes...

Buy Rage new and get free ... sewer access?

The reasons for this are pretty easy to understand--id wants users to have an incentive to buy a title new so they get a cut of the sale. Used game purchases don't provide them with any revenue, so they make an extra feature in their game exclusive (somewhat) to the buyers of new copies.

I can understand people being butt-hurt because they can't get 100% of the game for less money used now, but at least own up to the reasoning why a developer would do this. You can understand that position just like they understand yours.

@Hoops
This is a fallacy; developers certainly see a cut of the money from the sales. If you're angry at the publishers and such for taking their large cut, well, they were the ones who provided the money to fund development in the first place for most game deals.

It's very rare to have a studio be independently wealthy enough to publish their own titles.
