Aug 15th 2011 4:04PM (Joystiq)This is a fallacy; developers certainly see a cut of the money from the sales. If you're angry at the publishers and such for taking their large cut, well, they were the ones who provided the money to fund development in the first place for most game deals.
It's very rare to have a studio be independently wealthy enough to publish their own titles.
