It's Rock Band 2's wireless drums and guitar peripherals all boxed up
Jul 8th 2008 12:34AM (Joystiq Xbox)Also, all of the original Rock Band DLC will be compatible with Rock Band 2 as well, so you keep everything you've paid for.
Just think of this as an expansion pack, really. Where the first Rock Band probably sold more special edition box sets (with all the instruments) than the standalone game, I am guessing that Rock Band 2 will mostly sell as a standalone game.
Playing with your keyboard
Mar 2nd 2008 9:32PM (WoW)I've found that mapping the movement keys to TFGH rather than WASD is much better, since it opens up a lot of extra keys to the left of the movement buttons that can be used for mapping action keys. My action keys wrap around my movement keys, as such:
Default (with WASD):
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 - =
Modified (with TFGH):
Z X D E 4 5 6 7 U J N M
With this system you can make all 12 keys reachable instantly, without having to do any stretching or looking at the keyboard. Also, if you're one of those people who replaces the turning buttons with strafe, then you get an extra two from R and Y.
Get rid of WASD!

Magister's Terrace videos
Feb 12th 2008 6:20PM (WoW)It's still weird to me, though, that two different versions of the same person exist at once. With Onyxia, she's in her human form in Stormwind and she drops that guise in her lair, but it's still supposed to be the same person (or dragon) in both places. Yes, the Stormwind version is chronologically prior, but only slightly. With Kael'thas, though, he's a very powerful 25-man raid boss in one instance, and a regular 5-man boss in another. It becomes hard to believe that he's supposed to be the same person existing in the same time period.
It may be true that the Magister's Terrace version is supposed to be chronologically prior to the Tempest Keep version, but this isn't a simple case of "he was over there before, now he's traveled here" like Onyxia and Thrall. The large difference in his strength indicates that a pretty significant amount of time has passed.
Maybe I'm thinking about this too much, but inconsistencies like this bother me.
