Facebook changing games service, probably (not) unrelated to Google Plus games

Aug 14th 2011 5:58PM (Joystiq)
Haha love how it has Google Plus up in the corner search entry.

Buy Rage new and get free ... sewer access?

Aug 12th 2011 1:26PM (Joystiq)
And people thing the online pass system is bogus? Having access that more than pays for the 10$ price tag is one thing. Blocking off areas in a games single player experience is a whole new can of worms.

Fable: The Journey won't have swords or guns due to lack of feedback

@Red Runner

Kind of happens when you make false promises for every game you release. For being famed in the industry, he is known for not delivering on initial promises. Also as many have highlighted his denial that this game will be on rails, when in fact it everything points to it being exactly that.

THQ disappointed in Red Faction performance, thinks fiscal Q3 could be its best ever

Jul 27th 2011 6:50PM (Joystiq)
Really THQ? You are surprised that your multi-platform UFC Trainer was a flop? Perhaps it had to do with the fact that although it's multi-platform you have still, even post release failed to show one trailer on the Playstation Platform. From what I hear about the Kinect version, I am surprised the UFC even green lit it's release.

June NPD: Duke Nukem Forever is #2

Jul 15th 2011 3:56PM (Joystiq)
@Syesta

Maybe in the US it did. The Xbox has been finishing 3rd or 4th overall throughout all of 2011 Worldwide. Not to mention the fact that their gap in the US has been shrinking since mid 2010.

I don't understand why the NDP even gets press time any longer. Their refusal to acknowledge the rest of the world makes anything they state obsolete.

It would be like saying Pirates 4 was a complete failure because it only earned 238 million domestic. Not even covering the costs of the film. However the 740 million it earned in other locations of the world made it a billion dollar film.

Encase your Xbox 360 in a vault, win a suit of Gears 3 armor

Jun 28th 2011 6:04PM (Joystiq)
Wonder if the symbol on the side red lights when the system overheats from all the additional plastic on top of it?

As for the suit, elements of it are cool but if you read the print you are missing many of the elements featured in the picture. Probably why it costs so little as you would have to drop another couple hundred to get it to the same standards as in the picture.

NPD: 360 selling twice as many online-capable games as PS3

Jun 28th 2011 1:35PM (Joystiq)
@Fire Walk With Me

Yes when you are making claims like they are, worldwide totals should be calculated and not domestic only. If they simply wanted to say "Online gaming in the North America done more on Xbox 360" there is no issue, but they do not.

What the sales of the exact same game you are playing here shouldn't count the other copies sold around the world?

Once again Joystiq reporting on NDP figures, instead of factoring in Worldwide numbers instead. You know America isn't the world.

Kinect voice and gesture ads present a terrifying future

@Negatron

Because the whole ad base system is based around being applied to free content, not paid content.

@Negatron

Yeah unfortunately on the internet there are many who have to ability to post at once, so falls down the list pretty quick. Still carries the same weight though.
