Yeah I'm pretty sure you're right, Jack. I've read up on Skyrim and it seems like you run around in a forest and sometimes dragons will appear. The best part is it's unscripted so you never no when they will show up! Then you have to yell really hard at them and if you yell hard enough they will asploud!! After that you get another word to yell at other dragons!

But seriously though, this game sounds excellent, I can't wait!

I agree, but that's why I had a problem with what he did in the first place. It's fine with me if he wants to hack the console. More power to him, it really is quite impressive. The part that I have a problem with is whether or not a hacked console can get online. By providing the method to exploit the console, others can use that and then go online with their consoles...

There is also the issue of pirating. If people are able to easily pirate their games and run them because of the methods he found, less people will be buying the games. That may not seem like too much of an issue, but some companies have expressed concerns in the past with releasing games on a console that may be subject to too much piracy.

Finally, we get back to how this concerns me... If I have not noticed people getting an unfair advantage with a modded PS3 and developers are showing no signs of dropping support for the PS3, why should I care? The updates. Sony has to make sure that the above issues do not affect the experience for other users of the the console so they have been updating the security of the PS3 constantly to try to stay ahead. Of course, the updates aren't really that bad, but they are slightly annoying.

All in all though, I'm just saying that I don't care that GeoHot won't by another Sony product and I'll wager that anyone at Sony will lose sleep over it either. Now hopefully we won't have anyone else trying to exploit the console and Anonymous will let us gamers enjoy connecting to PSN.

That's fine with me. With him boycotting Sony hopefully the PS4 won't need to be updated quite as often because some asshat keeps looking for ways to exploit the console instead of just playing games...

I have been a long time reader of this site, but your use of 'embiggened' forced me to create an account and express my love for the humor that Joystiq and Engadget consistently use. This humor and sheer number of posts is something that I have not found to be matched on any other site.
