I think the biggest tragedy to come from all of this is the fact that I can no longer listen to that GNR song "Mr Brownstone" and enjoy it anymore. This kid has totally ruined it for me.

Man I'd really hate to be a Sony fan boy right about now. Or even a Sony employee--lots of people are going to lose their jobs over this disaster!

Maybe those BBs will knock some sense into the idiot Sony fanboys who are shelling out $600+ for a crippled gaming system. Aim for the eyes next time!

Ok, thanks--but they could be using component cables, and not regular VGA cables. Maybe the only way to get widescreen is through component?

If I hook up the regular wii VGA cables to my 16:9 widescreen, will the image be 16:9 widescreen, or just 4:3?

I'm so busy playing Gears of War and downloading a Rainbow Six Vegas demo while listening to MP3's in game and chatting to my buddies over xbox live using the 360 webcam that I almost forgot the PS3 even existed.

I freely admit that the PS3 is more powerful with better hardware. But... how does eye candy make a game more fun? If your character in a FPS now had individually-rendered arm hair, does that make the game somehow better? Would Daikatana be any better with greatly improved graphics? I think that we are approaching the point of diminishing returns in graphics.

The key here, though, is price. By definition, half of the US population makes median income or below. Those are the sorts of people who are MUCH more likely to pick up a Wii than a PS3. Sony has effectively alienated a full half of the population from purchasing their product. Nintendo, on the other hand, is the best bet for those whose pockets do not run over, and they are also cheap enough to be picked up as a 2nd system for people who have deep enough pockets to get a 360 or a PS3.

You all realize that the reason there's a tsunami headed towards Japan is due to their illogical hubris. They never should have purchased of all those PS3 units... The fools. Now they will be smitten.

Well the Japanese ad are even worse and stranger. Sony really has problems getting any decent press for their console if only crazy, sick, weird, Japanese people are interested.

These commercials are just to weird for the average consumer. They seem more geared towards the Japanese fan-base that Sony has installed. In fact, the whole PS3 is really well suited for a culture that is as weird, demented, and sick as Japan's. Who else would be crazy and weird enough to spend $700 to play a PS3 and 1 game? Yeah, there you go. Sony and their exploding batteries are finished. They are so done, its hilarious.
