WRUP: Your 'Best of 2010'

Super Mario Galaxy 2
Donkey Kong Country Returns
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver
Halo Reach
I want to play Mass Effect 2, but I barely finished 1 this year, lol. Maybe if there's a sale somewhere, but I'm pretty sure that ME2 probably deserves to be on my list.

Pokemon Black and White dated March 6 for North America

@Jack Kevorkian I read on Bulbapedia that you only need one of the three special legendary dogs to capture Zoroark. I dunno, I might get all 3 just to be safe.

EVO 4G's Froyo features detailed in pictures, car dock coming in September?

I just flashed the rooted Froyo ROM from XDA. I tried running with the fps cap fixed, but that kernel broke the cameras, so I flashed the ROM's stock kernel back on. I miss having a "smooth" framerate, but I'm definitely happy with how snappy and responsive Froyo feels.

Android 2.2 upgrade for Droid X may already be trickling out, other Droids shortly?

Ironic how about a month ago, I was patiently waiting for Froyo to come out for the EVO, but ever since Sprint's and HTC's OTA update last month, I decided I will go rooted from then on. I've tasted some Froyo on my EVO thanks to XDA, and it's great that Moto's Droids will get the update soon.

What I'm really waiting for, though, is for the EVO's DamageControl ROM to reach a stable full release with Froyo. That is when the EVO will reach pure awesomeness.

Meet Victini, Pokemon Black and White's #000 Pokemon

@logicplay

False. Pokemon started as a couple of video games (Pokemon Red and Green) in 1996, and the rest of the franchise, including the Anime, spun off of that.

How would you change HTC's EVO 4G?

Jul 24th 2010 12:08AM (Engadget)
1. Remove the 30 fps cap.
2. Increase the battery life.
3. Put Froyo on it.

I rooted my Evo though, so I have 1 and 2 checked. I'll be fine when I get a fully functional Froyo ROM on it.

Droid 2 and Android 2.2 fated to be together from the start, according to latest leaks

@Steven
Have you tried out any of the nightly builds? I tried out the first one, and from what I can tell, Cyanogenmod 6 for Evo is one amazing piece of software. Unfortunately, my g/f likes to send me picture messages a lot, so I can't live without MMS. As soon as a build with stable MMS comes out, I'm jumping on that.

Droid X sold out online and scarce at retail

iTunes used to be purely DRM music. Heck, even I had a couple of songs that were DRM that I had to convert to non-DRM music to play on anything other than an iPod. Good thing they took it out.

Intel's Sandy Bridge CPUs to arrive ahead of schedule, could be with us this year

@MrDiSante

I highly agree with this post. The Core 2 series of CPUs was an amazing bunch that is definitely still usable, and, actually, quite good, today. In fact, the only reason I moved up to a Core i7 at home was because encoding h.264 video is SO MUCH FASTER on it than a Core 2 Duo, and I've been doing a lot of video encoding recently.

@Hap Hazard
Wow. What kind of company do you work for?

Everyone here gets at least a Core 2 Duo for their workstation, and I've seen a few Core 2 Quads as well. I also know one lucky guy with a Core i7 for his workstation, but that's definitely not the norm.
