The price will be north of $100k for a C-Class, which is hard to swallow. I picked up my CLK63 Black Series last summer. It was a single (60+ year old) owner example with 6k miles for close to half the original price. They didn't cut any corners with the CLK63 Black with the added hardware and upgrades for track use, and I hope they don't with the C63.

Uggggggggh. The design is As with the C63 four door, the rear wheel arches are the same as the non-AMG model. I owned a 2010 C63 I loved, except for the arches. Just looks wrong. Traded it for a CLK63 Black Series, which has wheel arches reflective how different it is from the standard car. It wasn't the only reason for the trade of course, but the C63 coupe looks even more "wrong" than the standard coupe. The front 1/2 looks slightly more aggressive, the back half...still looks like a Honda Accord coupe with 4 tail pipes.

Its called a CLK63 Black Series. Through the grille you can see dedicated radiators for the steering, transmission, enlarged oil cooler. Fully adjustable suspension, carbon fiber body panels and bumpers. Low back-pressure exhaust, rear seat delete, carbon fiber spoiler and rear diffuser with a radiator for the rear differential. Carbon brakes, forged rims, etc, etc.

The whole hybrid thing is bothering for a number of reasons. The environmental impact of fabricating a hybrid is much greater than a "regular" car. The rare earth metals, chemicals, etc used in a hybrid system require many times the man power and time cost of regular production. And then there's the long term maintainability of a hybrid car. From a manufacturer's standpoint, its a win-win. They get to charge more for a product people perceive as more expensive, whether or not it is and there's the built in obsolescence of a behicle with the complexity of a hybrid. They will be a lot more expensive in the long term to maintain, prohibitively expensive and complex, forcing you to buy new as soon as the warranty is up. Why wouldn't manufacturer's want that kind of market. I currently own a 2008 CLK63 Black Series and have a good relationship with an independent shop that works on a '88 M3, and he says the Black Series will be relatively inexpensive to maintain. He's dreading the switch to hybrids.

The standard cars that were not in GT4 are from GT Portable for the PSP. That's where the Veyron's model comes from for example.
