I love the setting and mood of this game. The houses and the style and the furniture, and the suburban area outside the window with similar houses and style.

@Lerkero There is not a single item in any of the sims games that is a real-world product that you don't opt to include. It's not product placement if you chose to have it there.

And "Supposed to be" is questionable wording. It's not like the first idea for a game is the only idea and the only one we can ever care about. If they had the idea to make a main character who wasn't the only protagonist and more of a centerpiece than anything, that is how the game was "supposed to be". It is not how it originally was going to be, no, but how in the hell does that matter?

As much as people want to deny it, you played as Vaan in FFXII. The game was from his point of view. It revolved around the things he did. The places he went. The people he met. The situations he was a part of.

Yes, Balthier had a bigger true "part" in everything. Yes, the same could be said of the other characters.

But Vaan is and always will be the main character, the one around whom the story is centered. Yuna is arguably the main character of FFX. The entire series, both games, are more about her than about Tidus. But she's not the main character. Tidus is.

It's a similar situation with FFXII. Vaan is the character the game is built around, he is the player character, he is the eyes and ears of the player in the game world. As such, he is the main character, and as such, he is the Dissidia representative.
