Playing Dirty: Getting your game on while you get it on
Feb 16th 2007 1:10AM (Joystiq)Sex* is a slow paced (at first) rythm game with way more moves than just 4 arrows and without such obvious prompts either.
There also isn't just one set of instruction but you have to figure out what the next bes move is using the available visual, auditory and force feedback clues.
That's why it would make a great rythm game/edutainment tool on the wii: move your body position with the analog stick, move your hands with the wiimote/nunchuck and select the way your fingers are (flat palm, claw, back of hand,...) and your hand moves (straight line, dotted line,...) with the buttons.
*and that definitely include foreplay.
Can we get a big fanboy welcome for ...

DS Daily: Technical difficulties
Feb 12th 2007 4:03PM (Joystiq Nintendo)I have a GBA SP with both shoulder buttons unresponsive (they need to be pressed very hard so can't be used in normal play) due to more than two years of heavy use. However as it is only used for playing GB/GBC games it is not a problem.
Last week my black DS lite also started having the left shoulder button be unresponsive but it is back to normal for now so I will see how it goes.
But the real kicker is that last weekend, after finally managing to go to world 4 of NSMB (didn't bother trying hard to go there before finishing the game) the DS totally stopped, like it would if the battery ran out of juice except that:
1. The light is green, not red.
2. It does it both when playing off the battery and when recharging.
3. So far it only does it with NSMB.
4. It only does it in a world, not in the map screen (so far).
I haven't played any other games extensively but I recently started Metroid Prime Hunters so I will see if it happens there too but I guess I will send it back for them to see what is wrong but I am waiting until I go on holiday to France as I lent my cousin my old DS phat that way I can still play while it gets repaired (though I'm gonna miss the lite's brightness).
Friday Video: From the fists of babes
Feb 9th 2007 10:29PM (Joystiq Nintendo)Yup, definitely French. FYI I am French so no mistake here.
I don't think its French Canadians or Belgiums either, not enough accent.
Poll results: did you get a Wii yesterday?
Jan 31st 2007 1:26PM (Joystiq Nintendo)"And do not forget the "I'm from Europe, I could have already bought 20 if I wanted to" option, since ... well... you got the point ;-)"
No I don't get the point. I am from Europe and was lucky enough to find one on Amazon one week from launch but I have two friends at work that can't find one, let alone 20 (unless you are willing to pay eBay prices which they wisely are not).
So what was the point then?
Video game stocks down after reduced Xbox 360 targets
Jan 26th 2007 6:54PM (Joystiq)Hmm, you made a mistake here Blake, you don't announce earnings instead of a loss, you announce earnings as either a profit or a loss, and their earnings are no record as they are similar to last year's earnings.
It is their revenue that is a record although it is a good sign that the loss is similar for much bigger revenues than last year as it means they are losing less per dollar invested and thus are closer to profitability.
As it is that first sentence does not make any sense.
Ubi delays three Wii games
Jan 25th 2007 6:25PM (Joystiq Nintendo)How could Red Steel 2 be delayed when it hasn't been announced yet, let alone dated for release.
You might as well go ahead and call it vaporware as it hasn't been released yet after so many delays.
A note on comments from DS Fanboy
Jan 25th 2007 4:40PM (Joystiq Nintendo)So, you guys got tired of new people asking where the hell was the subscription button ;)
Good work and thanks, now on to nagging with any other small problem with the site :D
Today's 80s-est game video - Game Over
Jan 17th 2007 8:56AM (Joystiq)Hmm, how could it be a 80's video when combos date back from Street fighter 2 I believe.
Justice For All in UK and Germany on March 16th
Jan 12th 2007 12:00PM (Joystiq Nintendo)The first game had English/French on the UK version so I could lend it to my cousin who happens to like point and click adventure games so now that a UK and German release date are given I worry that this version will have English/German but no French.
