Call of Duty creative strategist Robert 'FourZeroTwo' Bowling departs Infinity Ward [update: Activision responds]

Mar 26th 2012 5:34PM (Joystiq)
Posters here are kind of savage. He did his job well, promoting the product his company produced and engaged the fans via social networking and other avenues as he was directed by his management. If you dislike the product, thats fine. I sat out of CoD this time and didn't buy MW3 because I have grown tired of the gameplay. But, that doesn't mean we need to trash the guy. Kotick is the one I think deserving of the bad rap. He is doing a lot of things to change the industry for the worse IMHO.

I understand that this is a smart move. But, I still think it would have been very satisfying to do.

Game of Thrones pre-order includes hardbound art book, hard winter

I pre-ordered it from Amazon. It was sort of risky since the studio is new to me, but I LOVE the IP and am wiling to gamble. Hopefully it works out.

Report: Medal of Honor: Warfighter is Danger Close's next game, hits in October [updated]

The campaign was fun to me. The bugs that made the game freeze sucked though. Especially the level where all the insurgents were rushing down the mountain at me. Anyway, the MP was irritating due to spawn kills, but otherwise pretty fun. I think the next one has an opportunity to make a solid game. The problem is, this genre and especially this setting, is getting repetitive. I think that is the hardest part to overcome. This game HAS to be really something in order to get people to buy it. It needs to be better than Battlefield at Battlefield gameplay, or better than COD at COD gameplay. If it isn't going to do that, it needs to be MOH and make MOH reason enough to get people to also buy this game too.

I am loving this game. Its less overwhelming than Skyrim. It seems good for people that can't game as frequently or for marathon sessions. Gamers over 30, lol.

Xbox Live 'FIFA hack' concerns continue to escalate, Microsoft states Windows Live ID not compromised

Jan 4th 2012 12:51PM (Joystiq)
I sent my story to Joystiq in late November and they never even responded. I had my account locked for nearly 6 weeks. I was out $250, and no Xbox Live access. Plus, I had about 4500 MS points already on my account. After it was all over, they refunded my money, gave me all points back. I did have a very difficult time re-downloading my Gamertag. I ended up having to take my HDD out, and use a memory stick to download it. Then copy it over to my HDD. Nightmare.

I loved both of these 1st games, bought the second ones but didn't have time to open them yet. Now I am just scared for the franchises since people complained about both sequels a lot.
