I agree with your Wrath of the Lich King statement, I think timing crushed this thing. WoW was really in full stride at the time. It also probably suffered from appearing to be too similar to WoW, whether it was factual or not.

Sounds mor elike something Activisions lawyers would do without even consulting the Blizzard team. I don't really think Blizzard would want the bad press of handling this issue in this way.

No but it surely treads on every other remote desktop solution on the planet. I don't understand why the fact that it has "games" as the subject matter makes it unique enough to be patentable.

@Lerkero I'm going with very desperate here. This sounds a lot like the vast majority of founding members jumped ship at sometime and this is trying to breathe new life into them.
