Nov 5th 2010 1:32PM (Joystiq)No, you are indeed correct in asserting that it works fantastically well in pitch black situations, it is just things that rely on the RGB camera(such as the face scanning log on) won't work, but the actual detection and tracking of a person works perfectly well. In fact it does work better in the dark than in the light because of this, but not to a degree that an average user would be able to tell a difference.

While I'm sure Apple has been using similar tech for their sales, it was never open to the general public. This works on more than just iPhones anyways, more importantly it works on the largest mobile OS which is Android!

LTE is the upgrade path of GSM networks, why do you think Verizon is switching over to sim cards, and has to completely rebuild their network? LTE is an upgrade for HSPA, WiMax is a dead technology that only a stupid carrer would choose.
LTE isn't gonna work as an upgrade for WiMax, Sprint has to completely rebuild their network if they want to keep up.
