It has nothing to do with Elitism -- the console market and the console gamers throw their money at games like this with no discretion at all. MW3 is a rehash of MW2, with the same graphics and some minor changes to justify the sequel. It's like how EA releases a new Madden NFL every year -- there's literally almost NOTHING new about the game.

So call it Elitism or whatever you want to call it -- but eventually people need to realize that this is crap. I'm not just saying all of this because I hate COD or something; I've played a lot of COD -- COD 1/2/3, MW1, COD5, BO. It's just getting old already, they need to stop trying to cash in on the same thing and reinvent it a little bit.

This is an expansion for MW2 in a shiny box with shiny graphics -- nothing more. The console market is still chock-full of mindless idiots who will buy these up like nothing.

The writers at Joystiq are all drooling console kids who have never played a real shooter; they probably think it all started with Halo on the Xbox.

Everyone needs to remember that this game isn't Modern Warfare -- it never has been and never will be. This is Battlefield, kids -- and Battlefield is about massive-scale online multiplayer with 64 people playing conquest.

I'm sure the co-op will be fun, and the campaign might even be sweet too -- but anyone who knows Battlefield is here to play Conquest on 64 player maps -- because that's what Battlefield is all about.

Of course it does.

I don't care -- pre-ordered on Origin, ready to play this amazing game. People can come up with all the reasons in the world to be mad, salty, and upset about this or that; but this game is amazing and will blow everything else away.

It's about time someone had a legitimate way to compete with Steam.

Yaaaawn. Why do developers pump out generic shooters? Do something new. A new FPS should have different modes, or some new take on the genre -- not just flashy explosions.

This has fail written all over it.
