EA is fixing these issues found in the Battlefield 3 open beta

Oct 2nd 2011 11:34AM (Joystiq)
@HaVoK308 You have no clue what you are talking about. Most of you here have no clue what you are talking about it.

A) Dice has stated that the PC beta test is using alpha software, of course its going to have some glitches and not look amazing. I would assume the 1GB download for Xbox is also running an alpha build.

B) I don't think this beat map and game mode plays like or resembles Call of Duty in ANY WAY. You can't just run and gun, you have to use tactics, teamwork and cover. You have to move slowly and not give away your position. The game is completely different.

The few issues I've seen in this beta are minor and people crying about them and canceling their pre-orders are huge babies that also need their diapers changed.

I'm no fanboy. I hated the Bad Company games and have mostly suck to Call of Duty but I'm ready for something different and this game looks like it will fit the bill nicely.

The UnderGarden review: UnderWhelming

I'm sure your self-important review made you feel real smart and now everyone knows how high-minded your are. Not every game needs to be a metaphor. Some games are simply an experience. Something tells me you wouldn't care for Osmos either, another relaxing, "zen game."

The Undergarden looks amazing. Too bad I'm poor and my company is about to go under and I could be out of a job next week...

Activision's Kotick on Brutal Legend drama: 'That's not really what happened'

Nov 8th 2010 10:40PM (Joystiq)
Kotick is a tool. He's said time and time again that his main responsibility is to Activision's SHAREHOLDERS. Not the gamers, not the developers creating the product that makes him millions. The SHAREHOLDERS. Making "great games" is secondary to him. Brutal Legend was an awesome, original game. If your company can't take a loss once in a while between franchise installments produced for the mass market to deliver a fresh ip for gamers then what good are you doing for the industry?
