PS+ is. I have been a member since Day 1 and I've saved over 100 dollars in discounts....oh, and the free games are pretty cool :p.

If you buy digital and a lot of it, then PS+ is definitely worth it.

No argument here over paying $60 USD for a matchmaking service over on the xbox front though.

There are too many factors regarding those things.

Matchmaking is matchmaking and ports are ports.

Marketplace downloads are the only thing that you can really compare between the two, and xbox definitely has the PSN store beat in download speeds (and I have a 50 down and 15 up connection).

However, what you are describing just sounds like a mixture of either a placebo affect, or just different connections for different people. Hey, it could even be the servers (if they even use dedicated servers for COD, I wouldn't know) they use for PSN versus Live.

But yeah, xbox live is a matchmaking service. Since I came from PC gaming, I don't understand why people think $60 USD is a bargain for something that should be free.

Unless Microsoft has their own dedicated servers for all of their live compliant games, then that would make more sense, but I'm confident they don't.

Honestly, they just do this because they know people buy it.

They'll stop when people stop buying their content in this manner....but that won't happen.

This issue is pretty BS. I feel bad for the people experiencing this issue. I think I'll stop playing until it's resolved. I do have other games to play after all.
