Insomniac done with Resistance

Jan 26th 2012 5:14PM (Joystiq)
Not gonna lie Resistance 3 was lack luster gameplay wise and the story was boring. I loved the first two but the third one wasn't even in my top ten of last year. Kinda sucks that they aren't making anymore Resistance games but how much story can you drag out after your main conceptual character dies at the end of two? I'm not surprised that there was a third game but I was pretty sure after that, that would be it. Well, maybe they can focus more on Ratchet and Clank and not make another "All 4 One" bullshit and we can see how Overstrike does. They had too many projects if they kept Resistance around and if any of the three had to be cut it wasn't gonna be Ratchet and Clank that's for shit sure.

Twisted Metal's PSN Pass, demo, and day-one patch: Jaffe explains

Jan 23rd 2012 5:25PM (Joystiq)
@TraceurRyuk Part III I think its gonna sell great cause of two factors; One being that its Twisted Metal and the name alone is gonna get a shit loud of nostalgia buys. The second is, its a ps3 exclusive big name title which means Kevin Butler is gonna be selling the shit out of the game, marketing wise on the ps3 commercials and that'll get more people to buy the game. I think the reviews are gonna be bad because the game just doesn't look like its much of an upgrade over the past ten years since Twisted Metal: Black or in almost every aspect and just doesn't seem to have much content for 60 bucks. It honestly looks like it should be a 15-25 dollar PSN game and that's it because it really doesn't look like it can compete at all with any whole sale game anymore.

I don't know why but I really think this game is gonna sell well but have the shittiest reviews for its selling numbers.

EA explains lack of SOPA stance

Jan 17th 2012 11:22AM (Joystiq)
@ZTZ Or you're OK with it not becoming a law. That arguement can go either way. I think that EA, being as big of a company as they are would be nice for them to choose a side (against) but then again them not making a stance is something that'll work for them as a business in general in the future, beneficial if it ever passes; and some type of connection to gamers of understanding if SOPA dies off.

Mass Effect 3 campaign details from Casey Hudson offer you a choice

Jan 11th 2012 4:36AM (Joystiq)
@DoctorFrank You can choose any of these and also choose none because they're optional settings. These aspects make a game so much more enjoyable to more people. If it gives me the option to play it like the first two games I won't lose any sleep that other people outside the RPG category are enjoying the game. Cause in the end that's what games are made for, so people can enjoy them. So stop bitching about changes and such just cause you don't like the idea now doesn't mean it'll be unappealing when its released.

12 Days of Joyswag: Batman: Arkham City game, controller, shirt

No, but I did happen to swim with a penguin while a two faced woman-cat chased me while two men were cracking jokes and making riddles of my frost bite.

Warner solving Arkham City DLC issue with a simple 5 step process

How bout making it free for anyone who accesses the game within the first month or so instead of pissing off your fan basis by making them go through redundant and idiotic processes.

BioWare: Mass Effect 3 combat more like chess (Us: Chess has grenades?)

Jul 6th 2011 8:24PM (Joystiq)
@JonahStein I think it means he's never played Chess their's probably nothing to it besides that simple fact. I mean I never played Chess to truly understand how the game plays. Always wanted to but I guess comparing it to checkers is my downfall of grasping the move sets and such. Lol. But all in all, I know the general idea of Chess is that it's based on strategy and comprehension of the environment and adding that to Mass Effect 3 will only make it that much sweeter!

@hensothor Did you even watch e3? This game was a surprisingly amazing looking game and if it plays like the demo it'll be a big game with alot of great reviews.
