@(Unverified) They already confirmed that Dust 514 on PS3 can handle larger maps and player counts just fine, but it they're starting out on the smaller end (24v24) and will expand in the future if players want it.
Also they said during the demonstration from Thursday that they were showing a "small" map on one of the less complex mission types.
Wow, this sense of entitlement. Each game has a price on it, and you pay that price to get the game. What's included in that game should be at least worth the value you paid.
So if a developer wants to make a game of full or more value and then wait to release it so they can also develop additional content and put it on the same disc so that empty space isn't wasted and you don't have to download some large file then why can't they? As long as you still find the the non-locked content to be worth the value you paid.
But no, now we live in a generation where we want everything free even if it goes well beyond the value you paid.
Disclaimer: I'm not saying whether or not this specific game is worth the value and I am not going to deny the fact that developers and publishers can exploit what exactly they believe is worth the value. But if they release something that isn't worth the value then it should be made clear to them by consumers not buying it.
@BlazeKing The one of the earlier patches added a lot of new layouts to existing maps and the 1.4 patch added two new game modes (Hero and Collection) and two new weapons (the wrench and biofield). It's free DLC, only they force you to download it via the patch. Honestly I don't understand why developers will create free DLC but place it on the store.
Can't remember the website, maybe it was just on Jaffe's blog, but there are videos not on youtube of Jaffe going very in depth about several multiplayer maps and gameplay aspects all while demonstrating it
As much of a distaste for Activision that I have, as long as they keep this cheap I am definitely getting it just for nostalgia! Plus it looks like they put a lot of effort into upping the graphics compared to most "HD" revamps.
One thing, they better have online-multiplayer free skate just to chill with friends and also have plans to do a THPS 3/4 HD as well.
@The Harbinger of Pie What, are you hinting that there's going to be something out of the ordinary in Uncharted 3? Stop being so blind, it's going to be a straight forward cover shooter against pirates and mercenaries the who way through ;-)
@(Unverified) Not really. Like we all knew Drake's Fortune is about the search for El Dorado, and Among Thieves is about Shambhala. Drake's Deception is about Iram of the Pillars, aka "Atlantis of the Sands." All of which ND told us a long time ago.
