Nov 16th 2011 11:38AM (Joystiq)They don't get it for free. They simply pre-paid for it, and all other DLC, when they signed up for the FHC in the first place.
They don't get it for free when "free" meant ponying up 25 bucks. When all DLC is finally released I'm sure we'll be able to look back as see that FHC members got a nifty discount on everything.
But free ain't getting them nothin'.

May 16th 2011 7:08PM (Joystiq)I appreciate the math you're trying to implement, but it wouldn't cost Sony NEARLY that much.
Sony HAS to realize that there would be gamers that already own these games. Hey, for gamers that don't own them this is a good step.
But some of these games are YEARS old. The odds that the most loyal customers- guys like me with their DAY ONE LAUNCH PHAT PS3 consoles- might already own these.
Don't get me wrong... for the tens of thousands of gamers that this list appeals to, I think it's wicked.
But for fans like me, guys that have already been loyal to these games... it is completely redundant, and feels like a slap to the face.
Where is OUR welcome back package??

Sony reveals choice of free game downloads as part of PSN 'Welcome Back' program
May 16th 2011 6:20PM (Joystiq)Wake up, smart guy. It stands to reason that most gamers might own one or some or all of these titles. Sony has missed the mark. BIG TIME.
What they should have done was pump credit into EVERYONE'S wallet. That way, WE get to choose what we want to spend it on.
That way, NO DOUBLE TITLES. It isn't rocket science.
Sony continues to screw this up...
PSN reactivation delayed for 'further testing,' likely not coming back this week
May 7th 2011 2:28AM (Joystiq)When you say, "Current Plus members will receive a free month of Plus..." I assume you mean IN ADDITION to the loss of service dates?? (Going on TWO weeks..)
If you simply add on another month as is, we're not really getting an additional month are we? Because we're already losing out on the TWO weeks so far.
If you simply extend our subscription, you'll only really be adding another two weeks of Plus to our subscriptions and NOT a full month.
In other words, Sony needs not only credit us for the time lost as a result of this clusterf*ck (TWO weeks and counting...) but ALSO they need to add a FULL month to our existing waste of money-err, umm... I mean PlayStation Plus memberships.
Bastards....

Apr 25th 2011 12:56PM (Joystiq)PSN outage due to 'external intrusion' [update]
Apr 23rd 2011 1:36PM (Joystiq)You're right. Sony should step up and offer all Plus members an entire free month to say sorry for the inconvenience. Who is to say that crap like this won't continue to happen in the future? They need to make it clear that they recognize customers have been caught up in this, and it stinks.
Just think about all those gamers with their copies of DC Universe Online... This hassle has made their discs glorified coasters, and the countdown on all those PAID subscriptions is ticking...
What a waste...
