I find using my Sony AVCHD camcorder with my PS3 to be useless. Instead of being able to dump my home movies clips onto the PS3, join/clip them, keep an archive for easy viewing, I can stick the card in and view them one by one with no usable index. What I'd love to see is Sony make a PS3 equivalent of iPhoto. I doubt this would make my life better.
There's something very wrong with the virtual buttons on the iPad. For one thing A and B are on a diagonal while left and right are side by side. Straying ever so slightly off A or B seems to do the opposite of what I was trying to press. Portrait mode moves the buttons below the play area but the buttons don't become any larger or more usable. I also feel like the sprite collision is off - I frequently die when I suspect I jumped cleanly over a baddy.
After listening to USpodcasts, I was jealous of the fantastic streaming service that Netflix offered. Now that it is available here, I think there's been a terrible mistake. If I browse Netflix's selection I can't find the 'Next page' link and only see 18 films in each category and I think they must be sorted by desirability (low->high). Eg the SciFi section doesn't have Source Code, Limitless, Attack the Block, ROTPOTA, etc; instead it has Phantomof the Opera, Signs, Dune, Buckaroo Banzai, The Secret of Nimh, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, etc. It's less like the future of home entertainment and more like the dregs left in the local mom'n'pop VHS rental after the Saturday afternoon rush.
The press release did its job and I was encouraged to buy the game. Plenty of fun, but the buttons don't always work well for me (on an iPad) - sometimes I shoot when I have strayed a tiny bit off the jump button. I've had my 69p worth but only on level 3.
Payday is good but so far I've been on two German speaking crews, 1 French, 3 silent and only 1 that spoke English. shame I can't filter online games by language.
Though downloaded it from PSN but now I run it and find that it wants to download another 15GB and won't do it in the background! I should just play Payday instead.
