Mass Effect 2 composer Jack Wall explains his departure from the franchise

Mar 4th 2011 8:22PM (Joystiq)
Jack Wall made INCREDIBLE music for both Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2.

He has great diversity too, as the two soundtracks were so different you might think they were different composers entirely, but a few tracks have the same trademark theme.

"You're" and "embarrassing", you hypocritical moron. You're every bit as illiterate as the person you corrected was.

Valve doesn't make games anymore, they just charge a 30% cut to selling them on their monopoly PC distribution network.

Oh wait, except Blizzard games. Blizzard actually still makes games.

Yeah, as usual the gaming press is a complete embarassment when it comes to anything but games.

At the lolworthy article's calculations, Google would make 24,400 x8.19million profit a year, which is: 199836 million dollars profit, or 199 billion dollars profit!

Wow, Google is the most profitable company that ever existed! Not just 199 billion in revenue, but in PROFIT??

It's hilarious that only you and me noticed the pathetic nature of this article. That's because 99% of the "gamers" out there are just as ignorant as the "journalist" who wrote this article.

Valve doesn't make games, they make money from the MUCH more lucrative business of charging 30% to everything that sells on Steam.

Seriously, why waste your time with games like Half Life Episodes, that only sell like 3 million for 10 bucks anyway, when you could be raking in billions from Steam? Not to mention that games actually have development costs too.

Oh, and they charge the Team Fortress 2 addicts 5 bucks a pop for hats or whatever stupid things you can get in TF2 now. Those people are just hilarious money makers for Valve.

Crysis 2 build including multiplayer reportedly leaked

@Ore

Where you getting those sales figures? I'd like to see sources, I've never heard of Crysis selling more than 1 million.

And let's be honest, for a game of Crysis' caliber, that's not "good sales." COD sells like 20 million copies a year, Crysis is in the same league and better in many ways. If it wasn't for piracy I bet the first game would have sold at least 5-6 million. Well maybe not quite that much because the multiplayer sucked, but it could have happened, who knows.

@C1

You can't believe people would rather have something for free, often weeks or months before its even possible to pay money for it?

A complete idiot is the only accurate way to describe you, then.

I know it's the cool thing to hate on COD nowadays, but let's not forget that COD4 had the best singleplayer campaign since Goldeneye 007.

Story was awesome, gameplay was awesome. Of course Black Ops was complete trash, and I see the franchise going nowhere but down, but COD4 must be remembered for the incredible game it is. Revolutionized the genre, and many of the improvements in Crysis 2 are lifted straight from it.

Uh...why does he think its tentacles?

Does he not see that the bear is clearly standing behind a dead mammoth, and the mammoth's tusks are what this guy thinks are "tentacles"?

No offense, but you'd have to be pretty visually impaired to get the impression the article writer apparently got.
