Last-gen had a difference in specular maps. Cars weren't as shiny as the trees that are as shiny as Marcus Fenix's armor, which is as shiny as his skin, which is as shiny as his bandana. Last-gen had a difference between the way light looked on human skin vs. metals. Couple that with the limited use of light in general in the games, and it made it look a lot more realistic because your eye is perceiving everything to interact with light the way it normally does. This gen wants everything to be shiny. It's actually started to kill the look of some games, imo.

I feel you on Sorkin. It was a big let down to me, but the rest of the stuff revealed about the game has slowly sold me on it. The level of work the team put behind EVERYTHING in the game. I can't see one thing that wasn't improved from the first, save *sigh* Quinn. It was bad enough in the first when they decided to give her the slutty new outfit. I'll buy Arkham City, just have to chew gravel when "Quinn" shows up. :(

They'll only find a way once or twice before the shotty takes care of them, from the look of it. I think I'm just gunna rock the crap outta the shotgun on this game.

I think I found my new FPS to play for a while...looks like they actually grasp the concept of "recoil" from a gun instead of the fully automatic sniper rilfes you get in CoD. There's also not a whole lot of room for camping. Yup, I'm definitely down.

You don't work for a newspaper or a magazine company or anything do you? Small words like "is", "was", "are", things like that, are omitted from the title so you get the point quicker and don't have to CLICK the article to go into the comments section and make yourself look illiterate. Read a newspaper sometime, homeslice. That is all.

Actually, Skynet exists. It's a British Defense satellite. AI targeting, nuclear capable, and has the know how and technological means to fix over 70% of anything that might go wrong with itself. No joke. They build something like this, then decide to name it Skynet. I wonder what happens when they plug it into the net and it Googles itself?...............
